· Gastronomy

From the consecrated chefs like Juan Mari Arzak (3* Michelin) situated only 500 mts from the hotel, Pedro Subijana (3* Michelin) or Martin Berasategui (3* Michelin) to the unbeatable local tapas called "pinchos" in the old part of town, and without forgetting the rising stars such as Andoni Aduriz (Mugaritz 2* Michelin) and the classics such as Camara in Pasajes or Rekondo and Txomin, San Sebastian offers an impressive gastronomic selection.

· Golf

Only a few minutes away by car from Villa Soro, our clients can play golf at the Basozabal Golf Club. The Fuenterrabia Golf Club as well as the Zarautz Golf Club are also within a short drive of the hotel.

Our staff can also book for you to play in one of the magnificent golf courses located in the French basque country, only 30 minutes away by car, such as Chiberta Golf Club in Biarritz, the Arcangues Golf Club, Makila Golf Club in Bassussary or Chantaco in Saint Jean de Luz.

· Culture

The Chillida Leku Museum is located only 10 minutes from the hotel by car in a spectacular 16th century traditional basque stone home. 40 iron sculpture masterpieces of the world renown artist Eduardo Chillida are exposed in the building and throughout the landscaped grounds.

The Zuloaga Museum in Zumaia exhibits the paintings of the basque paintor Ignacio Zuloaga as well as the private collection of art that he acquired throughout his life including magnificent paintings by El Greco, Goya and Zurbaran.

The beautiful coastal village of Getaria is only a short drive from Zumaia and hosts the Balenciaga Foundation, presided by couturier Hubert de Givenchy and honoring the work of couture's great master Cristobal Balenciaga.

The Aquarium as well as the San Telmo Maritime Museum are two classic and appealling museums in San Sebastian which clearly illustrate the close relationship between this city and the sea.

The famous Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is only one hour away by car from Villa Soro. Our reception staff can inform you about the temporary exhibits at the museum and recommend restaurants in Bilbao.

When you visit Bilbao, we also recommend that you visit the recently refurbished Museo de Bellas Artes which has a magnificent collection including paintings by Van Dyck, Zurbaran, Murillo and Goya as well as work from contemporary artists such as Francis Bacon, Oteiza and Tapies.
